Interview: Biffy Clyro - Festivals, mariachi music and their latest musical offering...

Another addition to my celebrity friends list (Yes in my head), James Johnston of Biffy Clyro fame. Such a nice guy to chat to and made for yet another great interview for Wireless. Here's a little taster...

"It’s not uncommon for bands these days to come away from a hugely successful album, decide they want to go in a new direction and then ultimately present us with well, a load of a shit (Ahem, Common Dreads Ahem) but it doesn’t look like we need to worry about that with the latest offering from the mighty Biffy Clyro. We caught up with bassist James Johnston to get the juice on their next album.

‘We’ve tried to do something different’ he reveals, ‘it’s hard to talk about something that hasn’t been recorded yet but we might have bits of mariachi type music on there and we’ve got other songs that are more like a big opus with loads of keys and I guess, quite a cinematic sound.’"
